i think you should still get a doctor to look at it... they have reference books and stuff. And isnt it better to be restored to like 100% (sorry for the term been playing too manygames in this hols )

I've got the nail biting habit too.

^ yeah i used to bite my nails. just stop biting your nails. let it grow long and cut it haha

If u dun do anything it'll still be ok. Just try moisturise your hands often and not pick at the nails. I've been playing guitar for 20 years and I dun have it. So I dun think it's the guitar.

But if there's discoloration
or if there's invasion of the thing deeper into the nail bed

Then better see a dermatologist.
