Yup. Go for a manicure.

If you are shy to do that, instead of cutting the nails, try to file them instead yourself. Cutting them too deep can sometimes lead to "abnormal" growth, eg. like nails growing "sideways" instead of "up".

I'm sorry sir but you have fingernail cancer. One of my close friends suffered from that 5 years ago and he is not with us anymore. May God help you...

I think nail cancer is whole nail dropped out or rotten, but it seems like not in this case, something is affecting ur growth of nail (i duno either  )

I was studying your photo of your nail.

2 observations: (1) It appears there may be an obstructive lesion below the nail bed just where the nail breaks. (2) The nail actually appears to be quite healthy.

My conclusion is that it is unlikely to be fungal. 2 reasons: no discolouration and no invasion. It is unlikely to be cancerous becos again, no dark melanin (dark pigmentation) noted, no deformation of the nail. (FYI, MELANOMA under nails are seen in Asians. These are dangerous tumours but fortunately rare)

It is unlikely to be a calcium or nutritional issue as it involved only one nail.

Such a localised disease could only be a localised problem. You need to see a doctor.

IMO, it could be an INJURY unknown to you or it could be a WART, obstructing the growth of your nail.

Treatment is to REMOVE the obstacle that affects your nail growth. Dun worry, it probably doesn't need removal of the whole nail.

Or you can PM me. Hope that is helpful.
