my finger nail's retarded. anyone knows why?

this started only abt 3 months ago. when i cut my nails everything looks normal. till it grew out. although i dont keep long nails, it bothers me because that certain area JUST DOESNT grow out. everytime i cut it grows out like this.

my dad says its because i play guitar. it cant be cos i play with a pick, and if it really is, how come more than 3 months ago when i play guitar, it doesnt happen.

does anyone suffer from the same problem?

because the compounds/chemicals/materials/minerals? found in the fingernail are similar to those found in bones and teeth. i think.

if it's your fretting hand, it probably is the calluses that you have develop that is hindering its growth.

it it's your picking hand, i have no idea why. haha.

You can..cut ur nails again to see whether anything happens..

Keep ur nails cut all the time ( trimmed )

Make all other nails look like those two fingers

might be a bacterial thing? or fungus, looks like it. Or maybe some bone thing, go and see a doctor it might be serious, not trying to scare you or something

I know a guy who had debridement done to his hand and now the fingernail on his ring finger stopped growing altogether.

hmm this is really a mystery. and no i definitely wouldnt waste a trip to the doctor to find out whats wrong. this is definitely not a serious problem, and, i just cut my nails 5mins ago.
