MXR Distortion III

Hi all,

have anyone tried this? i recently felt sick about my modded ds1.. it just cant give me the tone i need.. even the 20watt randall amp's overdrive channel is better sounding den my ds1.. damn.. so i'm seriously looking into a new distortion pedal that have the od characteristic..

my influence for dirt tone are
Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai..

though i love john petrucci.. but i dun really enjoy the full saturate tone that can only play his kinda music

pls throw in your feedback.. yet check on musicshops.. hopefully this new pedal in the mxr family is in singapore already

Why don't you re-mod your ds-1. Change the IC Chip inside. Anything. Morph it into total un-DS1-ness.

I don't see how Paul Gilbert and Vai have anything to do with the Dist III so...

Anyway, go to TGP, some people have been talking about it.

i wonder how the distortion III sounds.. hope its not just a Dist+ with tone knob.. anyway.. i recently built a dod od250 clone and some mods.. sounds really good.. a very simple circuit and easy to tweak...

shredcow.. actually i'm very open for choice now.. i need something that can handle from intense od like what paul gilbert use.The sweet od with rich harmonics but at the same time hear the pick! and the pedal must also reach saturated mode to do smooth legato licks like vai.. haiz.. wads ur setting rite now btw?
