Oi! TS asking about JP ok! lol...

The BFR JP6 comes up to around SGD5.5k IIRC...
Yes the retail price of the BFR JP6 in the US is USD2.8k (30% off the MSRP), but here we pay around USD3.6k (10% off the MSRP)...

What do I (we) think of EBMM guitars you say?
They have the best QC in the business (in the context of mass produced guitars), I can safely order any NEW EBMM without trying them... As in the sense of played one particular model before, knows how it feels, but I need not to worry about ordering a lemon from the factory...
Their unfinished neck is the best in the business, the maple neck is treated with gunstock oil and wax, gives it a very smooth finish. Keep in mind that the BFR JP's neck is finished though.
And if you compare their prices to other brands that provide the same quality (PRS), you'll find that EBMM is actually much more cheaper than them.
EBMM guitars are pretty light too, one of their design principles is "balance"... You can place your guitar on your lap, and let both of your hands go, it won't topple down... It's very comfortable to play too...

Good to see that more EBMM-related threads are popping up now and then :D

Yo bro, your Tobacco burst Y2D isit? The volume knob not tight, but feel rather heavy. But I think Steve Morse got good strength and technique to do those vol swell lah. He placed his pickin hand quite near the bridge too.

Personally I think the price is alright. You gotto consider related fee such as shipping, shipping insurance, gst declaration, fund transfer fee, margin, overheads..A lot of people fails to see all these. I have import in no lesser than 7 guitars, and I knew the cost involved.

As for buying a BFR, i can bring in one at a cheaper price. At least $3-400 cheaper I say. You can even choose the type of figuring you want, from my range of ex-stock. Even the latest LE08 JP6, fresh from the oven, can reach your doorstep in 3 weeks time.

Those tight knobs will eventually become loose too, no?

Nothin to do with a tight or loose knob (or pot). Its how you position your pinky to get the right leverage to turn the knob in the speed you want. Maybe some KY jelly helps here...

I remember playing my friend's new RG2550 a few years ago, the knobs were tight... Then everytime I play it now, it doesn't feel as tight as it was a few years ago...

Maybe will get looser someday... Anyway, outta here now! Gotto track the arrival of the blue dawn! Woohoo!

Honestly, for those who do want to get an EBMM at reduced prices locally, Ripper is the way to go. Having someone do all the logistics for you while you just have to sit and pay is much better than doing it yourself. The only thing you need to remember is that it is EX-Stock he's bringing in. Meaning it's NOS. New Old Stock. It's been played a bit from time to time because it's in a store. But that's it.

I shipped in a Silo 20th myself, and almost had a heart attack. This was from the stress of waiting for responses which look forever to come from the seller, and I had already paid. Ouch.

My first Silo from Ripper was a much easier transaction. Nevermind that the guitar didn't sit well with me. That had NOTHING to do with Ripper's service or character as a person, or businessman. We almost had a heart attack when the electronics on the piezo on the silo didn't work. (Remember Jim? That wasn't fun...) But he was honourable enough to actually sit thru the trouble shooting and we eventually sorted it out. The battery case needed some prying out on the connectors. It had been depressed for too long.:???:

Anyone could have simply walked away. I'm glad he didn't. So, if you guys are thinking of getting an EBMM, look no further. Your avenue is right here...;)

And no, I don't get any comm from his sales...

Yo I'm back!!

Thanks for the kind words there man.. Something to clarify here though. The things that I bring in are not exactly all NOS - New Old Stock. EX-STOCK rather. By Ex-Stock I mean "EXISTING STOCK", but hey - not "EXPIRED STOCK" man..

If you wanna buy something off the shelf, either the item come out minty fresh from the factory, if not, they will be displayed at the store for sometime before someone buy them away. So if you are looking for something rare but discontinued or dated, chances are, these items should have seen some "hand touching", but in most cases, if you alarm me on the things you want, I will keep a lookout for you and when it appears in stores, I will get my dealers to take it off the shelf and deliver to me immediately (thru my middleman in US/UK)

Mr Whitestrat's silo order thru me was a very special piece that require no waiting. It was a PIEZO-equipped silhouette HSH, in the color he want - yes, white. Custom order usually take 5 months to deliver. I dont do that - too risky with a lot of money tuck in the dealers too long. I prefer buying off the shelf. The risk? As mentioned earlier, may be minty fresh stock, may be not. But one thing for SURE - cheap. The White silo in question is $700 odd cheaper than what our dealer is quoting. Would you go for that kind of a savings? For me, its a yes. No worry on shipping oversea! You think aeroplane get bombed everyday?

Enuff said. Contact me if you want a good deal guys! :)
