singapore's hardcore metal bands dont seem to be that outstanding, YET. probably because they turn the volume up too high for sg's soundsystems (singapore = small island = small spaces = small rooms = small amps = not too good full blast sound) yea metal is loud, but honestly, some good bands turn up too loud that... u know the music is nice, but all the instruments just start fighting to be the loudest, it gets... dumb

anybody know of any power/speed metal bands along the lines of stratovarius/sonata arctica?

oh and, about edited posts, ahaha, freedom of speech is only in countries like the USA dude, not singapore. =|

dot sg is still part of cyberspace. And cyberspace, has Freedom of Speech. Singapore is one of the very few countries without Freedom of Speech. Thtz y we get more dumb & psychologically ill ppl every yr compared to more aids victims. You might not know it, bt singapore is nt an open country. Thus, u not knowing tht there r amazing local metal bands in here too.

ahaha yea but around here (asia, middle east, etc) most countries dont have freedom of speech. mm but because its singapore, if the post is by a singaporean slandering another singaporean (something like that, i'm not a lawyer) u can get sued =X i'd rather not mess around. heh!
