Sorry bro Clue J ... i believe you are having good intensions for the kids here ... but please ... take my advice ...DON"T !!
I did gigs when most of you guys were running with snot in your nose....so let me put to you ...kids rather waste that money on smokes and other rubbish than gigs !! What can u buy with 10 bucks nowadays huh ??
I had kids who showed me empty wallets and pathetic faces for free rides and later saw them sucking candy liquor at 7 11 !!
Btw do you know what it takes to do a gig ...have you done it ??
On my gig >> bands get paid first then the rest follows ...usually i end up broke !!
Local bands NEED to BE PAID !! PERIOD !!
If this was my gig you will be paying $20 bucks :evil:
U want anything cheaper or even free ....then wait for the 7 month getai !!

^ a true business man...but he is right about the paying of local bands...coz its effort to put out and rehearse at jamming centres...Bands lose more money than the audience in putting up a performance...so lets give them more credit for what they do...beyond recognition...i think they need to get paid to keep them going..

He probably already calculated the overheads and whatnots, so give him the benefit that it should be 10 bucks. If the lineup is good and the marketing is ok, I'm sure pple will still go. If you price it too low, there's also the perception of a low quality performance, where true or not. Hope it goes well.

Wow!Neva tot this kinda thing will happen...Wad Roy said is true...10 bucks for 10 great bands...mayb the rental is expensive...btw i juz wanna declare that this will b my band first time playing at gig...We dont want the fame etc...juz want a favour of support from u guys out there for the first timer...heh!!
