Dime, why do you say 'seperate rockers from crappers'? I honestly don't think musicians who play pop or the hip hop artists are crappers. Sure I may not like all their stuff and even personally hate some (such as the 'thats no-ma-name! song) but that doesn't mean they are crappers. Other people like them and their songs, means that they must be worth something.

Rock and metal isn't all there is to the musical world.

Music is about feel and emotion. Most of those music in the 'mainstream' genre lacks it.

I'm not asking u guys to rate it for the sake of rating, I just need help in your o-so-humble opinion, so at least I know majority of the crowd listens to what, and I can therefore pass my subject.

many of my friends listen to mainstream music. listen to those hiphop-no-melody-and-rihanna kinda music. They just want to fit into some sort of group by listening to these kind of music.

PS: Same for people who don't want to fit into that group, by proclaiming they listen to very DIFFERENT stuff. WANTING TO BE DIFFERENT BY FOLLOWING A BUNCH OF PEOPLE TRYING TO BE DIFFERENT FOR THE SAKE OF BEING DIFFERENT.

no lah.. i love pop. maybe not todays pop. but i do. its still one of the genres i love listening to.

but i just would classify blues as the last genre i'll lable as shit music.

I'm 16 and I don't fancy A7X , System of a Down , and bands like that just as much as I dislike hardcore. Actually , I noticed the bands I like are from people who are older. I always feel that they have more experience so I get better more bootalz music into my ears. Just to name a few bands I like, they're Lamb of God , Dying Fetus ( You know what we're talking about here just by the name ) , Arch Enemy and you get the idea. I think the music people my age listen to are really wide spread though but in general girls don't like metal and guys like hardcore and some like rap and doodles etc.
