Music Attack IV would have definately been a horror movie gone completely wrong. There were so many aspects that could have been improved on, so much so, I dont even know where to start.
The following events are brought up from MY point of view, so if I interpreted anything wrongly, my sincere apologies.
Well, I guess Ill start with organisation. I know its tough shit being an organiser, but really, Where was the organiser on gig day itself!? There were no time slots allocated to the bands, so much so that bands were a clueless bunch of panic struck people. So what did we do? We, (like every other moron who trusted the orgasniser to actually get the show to run smoothly) went to ask for our slot.
So we got our slot yeah? Everything was cool in the end yeah?
SURE, If cool meant some ang moh guy telling us to 'GET THE F*** OFF THE STAGE'. Yeah, I swear to God that was what he told us, WORD FOR WORD. Like dude, We didn't even do anything wrong , we were told our slot was 7:30pm and we went up after my friends band. (which they confirmed with us that my band was after theirs, so there was no mistake there on my part.)
So hey! Here's the point, The 'Organisers' screwed up on their part, and we get told off for listening to them. Jesus Christ! Why dont they spill some drinks and host a WET T-SHIRT PARTY while they are at it!
OH YEAH I FORGOT, THEY ACTUALLY DID THAT. After being sent off the stage, my band was waiting near the counter for our 'actual slot timing'. And then the Bartender decided to do the most 'AMAZING' display of waterworks. Pretended to 'Slip' and spilt a coke on my Hoodie.
How do I know he was 'pretending'? 1) His 'apologies' were so freaking fake and spastic, it made Michael Jackson's nose look real. 2) My friends saw him delibarately spill the drink on me (YES, SAW AS IN LITERALLY USING THEIR EYES AND SEE.)
Gee, I really dont wanna know what kind of sick demented childhood that bartender had, or maybe he just has a fetish for guys in wet hoodies.
To finish off, Not all the staff there were screwed up. At least there was this malay girl who didn't try to be a jerk. My apologies to her once again, (if she is reading this), for not informing her about my friend who was gonna come up and help out in our set.
Also, the crowd(friends/fans/family) and bands that played for the event were great. They really deserve props cause they practically made the show.
Well thats pretty much my review or should I say rant, for MUSIC ATTACK IV. Thanks to everybody who came to support Scarlet Aftermath. We really appreciate it.
Keep Rockin guys,
<3 Mo
