Hi All,

After getting some very useful tips on my first review post
hxxp://soft.com.sg/forum/open-mic/107358-ready-your-reviews-now-i-think.html
I tried my best to better myself and tried my best to correct the mistakes that have been pointed out.
Please do tell if there is any improvement.
One thing I have to add is this next song, I am now using my normal voice. My speaking voice really.
I have always felt that I sing better if I try to make my voice bigger like in my post above. But is it really true? or does it even change for that matter?
Need you very informative and constuctive comments about my singing. It will help me a lot.
Thank you very much. the link is below

My constructive comments. If you can't handle them, then move along.

First. Work on your pronunciation. Especially the 't's and 'th's. Never pronounce 'th' as 'd'.

Second. BREATHE BEFORE A PHRASE. TAKE IN A LOT OF AIR. Don't use your throat voice. From that track, i know you're straining your throat.

Third. Stop the vibrato. Just sing it clear. Seriously. Stop it. You'll sound 10times better.

Fourth. For high notes or stretching out the phrase, YOU MUST DO #2 AND push out your stomach. Just push it out when you wanna hit the higher notes.

Good breathing for singing:

Breathe in, tummy out
Breathe out, tummy at normal position

What i think is that i will listen on after the first line. Worth the time. But you a bit nasal.
And if you want your voice to sound big, it will do in musicals, classical pop songs, seldom pop songs.
Good luck

I just had a listen .. and I enjoyed listening :)

There's definitely flaws - The "you" at 0:31 is weak, and at the start I think you are losing a lot of air (your vocal cords are not connecting well). That seems to improve later on.

There's a few of KhaiHan's suggestions that I'm going to suggest the opposite here. I think he will be getting used to me contradicting him soon :)

First, you don't need more air. All you need is to keep the air you have in. That means stronger vocal cord connection. If you listen to the recording, do you hear the sound of air rushing out each time you sing? That's because air IS rushing out. If you stop that, then you have plenty of air already. It's very noticeable at the very start.

Second, I think your vibrato is fine. Don't try to stop it. Don't try to create it either, just let it come when it wants to come.

0:50 sounds like a problem for you, like your voice isn't working properly on those notes.

And finally, you don't need to do any stretching or anything for high notes. As long as your connection is good and your outer larynx muscles relaxed, you don't need to worry about your tummy muscles, they will take care of themselves. Some people get results from focusing on those muscles, others don't, so don't think that it's necessary for singing.
