Modifying the new Proco Rat 2

Hi, anyone knows of any shop that can mod the Rat2? I've read a lot of bad reviews about the china-made rats. and, what mods are recommended?

I have not seen the new China made units....but i can strongly assume its surface mount components thus rendering mod a nightmare !

maybe standard value, guitar77 or beez can do them up.

ditto goose's comments about SMD.

Rats are cool for mods, swap a few caps, switchable clipping diodes, tune up the tone controls and you're set.

erm dont fix whats not broken? its like saying, u think my unborn baby will need plastic surgery? so if u havent even tried it and dont know what its like, try not to base ur opinions on others' reviews, u might not find them very helpful. hey u might even like the rat for what it is.
