Microphone + Amp + XLR Cable at >$200?

ok question as per thread title; if it's possible to just get that kind of simple setup for functional home use.

details pertaining to location would be good too.

What are you using this setup for? Jamming with a band? Or simply karaoke?

There are some 'radio' microphone which has a FM transmitter. You basically tune it to a frequency on your radio set and use it as an amplifier.

i'm asking for a friend actually. he just wants it for home use, and also to bring his mic with him for performances since he's had bad experiences with mics that simply don't work, lol.

If he's looking for a performance grade mic, then he'll get one of those and a cable for under 200 bucks. Not sure about an amp to go with it. If you get all of those for this price, I wouldn't pick it up coz it'll be substandard quality.
