Metallica in S'pore 1993

KNN when Metallica was in Singapore, I believe it was during Hari Raya season. My mother keep my collection money and lock it in the drawer. that time i was 15.

when Pearl Jam and Mudhoney was here, it was the 1st Day Of Hari Raya! when my brother and me got back from the concert, we got screwed real bad by our relatives for being "away!" hahahahahhahahahha!

They were banned in Indonesia after their 1993 concert. I read it from Sound of the Beast, The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal by Ian Christe... Their fans got high and started rioting right after their concert ended.

heh, why wud they be banned here? How about no promoter bringing them in or that they are not really touring the asia region here thus hard for local promotor to just bring them in for a show. It aint cheap just to bring a band here to play a show, without them playing tours round the region here...

anyway, within their old box set, live shit, binge and burge, theres a page in the booklet which shows a letter from either the promoter or singapore authority(cant remember who exactly) to their management, stating the do and dont for their show here back in 93..

if i remember correctly, they ran into some trouble with the local authorities about the pyrotechnics here, and were quite put off by singapore, so since then they never came to singapore again.
