hahahahahha... yes, i was wondering why all the negativity abt the album. hmmmmmm... i was wondering also if they have the St Anger dvd that comes with the cd? watch the dvd i shall say...
the snare sure sounds "different". like an "empty tin can" played in an echoey hdb flat toilet. hehehehhhe... nothing wrong with that. its distinctive tho...

I think since the two years plus St Anger has been out, I've come to accept the production aspect. But songwise, I think the band could've use some editing and trimming. Some of the songs on there are longwinded and seem to go nowhere, basically a lot of repetitions and utilising different drum patterns to guise the fact that they are basically using the same riffs. And yes, could've used a little guitar solos too although I don't really miss them much admitedly. But hey, that was 2003, I'm curious as to where the band is taking the direction of their music on the next album. Let's just hope nobody else takes off to rehab this time around.

k back to the topic. would be great to see metallica live up to its old glorious days but i doubt so that will happen after ulrich wrecked st anger... and screw rehab hetfield! He should do wat he have always been doing!

I like it. there are to many people that cry over the sound of an album. I think it was more for james sake rather then the fans.

Ha ha ha Actually DT was suppose to come to Singapore in April 2004. Dunno why cancel. go to their website and see tour schedule. I think because either nobody wants to come to DT concert or that's when Nicoll Hgway collapse.
KNN when Metallica was in Singapore, I believe it was during Hari Raya season. My mother keep my collection money and lock it in the drawer. that time i was 15.
I am still looking forward for the government to let either Slayer, Biohazard or Megadeth to play in Singapore.
