The Cassette Diablos are looking for a bass player. Our Bandcamp page (https://thecassettediablos.bandcamp.com) tells you more about us and has our six-song demo EP streaming for free. The band has been in existence in its current form for about three years, and now we are looking for a new bassist.
Genre: Metal, classic rock, hard rock, 90s alternative, blues.
Influences include: AC/DC, The Cult, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Megadeth, INXS, U2.
Our primary requirements include:
1. Ability to play bass. We’re looking for a decent level of ability here. You don’t need to be Jaco Pastorius or Cliff Burton (although that would help). If you can play the entirety of ‘Master Of Puppets’ well that’s probably a good enough starting point.
2. Ability to make stuff up. Someone who’s comfortable with making things up as we go along (i.e. ‘songwriting’) would be a great asset.
3. The current three members all have day jobs but are committed to the band in the long term, so weekly practice, recording demos and eventually gigs are on the agenda.
