No metal core, emo core, hardcore, because i have had enough people who simply put heavy music together as one genre called metal. It is not really like this u see.

Though a fan of Hard Rock, I didn't see myself including that either, Hard Rock's Rock and let the people who do rock gigs handle that

I do realise that someday people may just listen to metal just to be in the scene, but metal deserves his chance to be loved by more too.

Many young metal bands in singapore whine that the metal scene is small...but how many want to do something about it?

But I am not worrying, cos metal lovers will be harsh on those who just listen to be in the scene, ensuring that they end up really liking it. I choose to believe so...lol

Haha I am not sure about whether anything sucks or not, but I am a fan of anything around 10-20 years back...lol

Other than Trivium being metalcore, it started in the new millennium, so I don't really know much, and personally I dont like the song from them that my friend sent me.

It is not that it is metalcore, hence I dont like it. I just happen to not like songs, and then i realised it is metalcore.

Lamb Of God have always maintained they were their own genre and followed thrash metal. Crazy not-just-grinding drums + wailing guitars and guitar solos + non-growly yet high pitched and screaming = more or less thrash or its variants! they are post thrash, and honestly there are hardly any other bands you can pair them up with in terms of sound. the closest might be Pantera, but they are still in different worlds.

Dont anyone dare come here and diss Lamb Of God and saying they are metalcore. Metalcore and emocore are your trivium, a7x, and all that other **** that have the term 'bleed' or any of its variants in it. :lol:

i'd rather have my eyes poked out and brains squashed then listen to emo or metalcore. :lol:
