I like them both, but music-wise Megadeth appeals to me more. Always loved speed metal. I wouldn't consider Megadeth thrash metal, though. I think 'speed metal' fits them better. I didn't like Dave last time (I thought he was a total jerk) but recently he's become a better guy. Either way, I like Megadeth's music more, but Testament will always be my number one! :mrgreen::mrgreen:

This Metallica vs Megadeth has been around for ages so i would not touch on it . To each his own.

What i can say is, they are nice REAL people, no faking it. And if a band is still around after 20 years and still actively making music and touring..........that is a VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER. LOL!

Megadeth is the 1st pioneers of thash because of their mascot

who do u prefer megadeth or metallica
and wad are their best few songs for both bands

Megadeth is the real pioneer of thrash metal because they have their own mascot, "vic rattlehead". Just like Iron maiden, they are pioneers of new wave of british heavy heavy metal because they have their mascot, "eddie". Last but not least, Helloween, pioneers of power metal also have their own mascot, "pumpkin head".

What i`ve read from megadeth 1st album, "killing is my business", that metallica end up Dave`s song which he told them not to play when he`s not around. So this is what happen. In the end, metallica didn`t come with some mascot which i don`t consider them as pioneers of thrash.

Megadeth is the real deal in the thrash scene & I admire Dave Mustaine creativity of his songs from 1st album till now. Also I love Chris Broderick guitar solo. The way he play sounds pure magical with his right-finger tapping which i`ve never seen people like him playing before. I also love his classical guitar playing too. So Megadeth is the first pioneer thrash. I prefer Megadeth.

I hope their latest album reach no. 1

Metallica and Megadeth are 2 kickass bands. Both are good in different ways. For me i'm a fan of both, so no preference.
