Marshall or Hughes & Kettner

Hi guys,

I need help. Currently looking for an amp that can cater my needs from blues to metal. Been doing alot of research and I am stuck rite now.

I would prefer 50 to 100 watts not more than that. Currently now the H&K Switchblade, DSL50, TSL50 and JVM 410 caught my attention. Please help me find my amp. Tks in advance.
 
Well, you can play blues or metal with Marshall, no prob. But H&K will give you more tonal versatilites. From super clean to modern high gain to anywhere in between. You won't need a distortion pedal on your board; maybe an OD to boost it though.

Yeah... Tone has a price... The salesman in Tokyo was damned smart. He closed the deal for me by plugging in the musicman I wanted into the TRIAMP!!!!! Damn... After hearing that tone, how not to buy?:twisted:

Thats what I thought too. Had a discussion with Marc....mmm, I really like the switchblade. I just need a tuner for it. Well, i am still waiting for a reply from H&K. Tks Leecs

You had a dicussion with Marc? He had a discussion with me!!!! it was me who introduced him to Triamp. haha..

The switchblade is a very nice amp!! Get the head if possible. so you can try different speakers if possible.

I emailed H&K also. Because the msia dealer quoted me a price that was unbelieveable, trust me. H&K didnt reply me though.

Now im waiting for an aquantaince whether he wants to let go of his Triamp MKI. Hopefully he will. If not, I will buy it when i go Japan this sep.

List price for a Triamp MKII is around US$3200 for the head alone. If you'r lucky, you might be able to get it from Ebay at US$2500 but it's quite rare. So after shipping it'll cost around S$4000.

The Triamp is a darn sexy amp.. Sad lah.. Still in the world of combo amps!
Wanna trade off my combo for a head version of it, but its darn rare nowadays to find it!

im ok on a mass order. Its either a Boogie Roadster, Dual Rectifier or a Triamp for me. Who got lobang?
