Marshall or Hughes & Kettner

Single Rectifier?

Just wondering, The single rectifier and dual have almost the same specs just maybe a few differences. Single rectifier being a 50W, wouldn't it be better for home usage? Or are there BIG differences between the 2?

Dual rectifier just seems too loud for home usage and if played low, it would be a shame as it would be under-utilized.

it should be the same just wattage difference.but whatever it is dont go for the triple.wasting extra moolah for 50 more watts that doesnt sound as good as the dual.

Single Rectifiers have only 2 ch if im correct, whereas Dual Rect has 3 ch. The old Dual Rect has 2 channels though. Its up to individual to see his needs of having less or more channels

Marshall's Vintage Modern can pull off a metal tone with the help of distortion pedals pushing the inherent amp drive. blues crunch is one of the VM's forte

Well, not looking for an amp now! haha, i shall let those in the thread who wanted it call for themselves! :P

Any of you really keen on Boogie amps??? Im gonna try to email Mesa & bypass Bently & order directly from them. I know this is kinda like against their agreement, but Bently prices are unbelievable!! I wil let you guys know the outcome.

BTW, i've contacted Welcome to the PianoMan's Shop Official Website They cant bring in Triamp MKII. Only the blue edition or vice versa.
