Rio suffered no break

United received some good news on the injury to Rio Ferdinand on Monday afternoon as it was confirmed the defender has not suffered a break to the foot he injured against Middlesbrough.

The 29-year-old defender was forced off after 70 minutes of Sunday's 2-2 draw at the Riverside. However, any concerns that he had broken a metatarsal in his left foot have been allayed.

A club spokesperson told ManUtd.com: "Rio went for a scan on Monday and we can confirm that he has not suffered any break."

United's medical team have not confirmed how long the defender will be out of action.

Sir Alex Ferguson will provide a further update at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon ahead of Wednesday's Champions League quarter final second leg clash with Roma.

still sucks tho.. Roma and Arsenal game no Ferd and Vidic..

oh, yeah totti aint coming.

i tip for a hargreaves pique brown evra backline.

but sir alex might bring in silvestre instead of pique.

not as central back but as right back.there might be a chance sir alex is throwing G.Neville back into action this wednesday.

i hope o'shea doesnt play.not very safe to play him in defence.better if its like this.

RB-G.Neville
CB-W.Brown
CB-M.Silvestre
LB-P.Evra

its good 2 have silvestre and neville back. but wun the lack of match pract affect their game?

Although man utd has a 2-0 away goals cushion wahaha... actually it cld be good for them practice ahead of arsenal's game.

I hope to see park play again! haha he's really 1 hardworking player haha.

apparently neville has been in and out for the reserve team so he has that match fitness but dont think he is fit for the 1st at the moment.

well almost every player upfront for United is hardworking.tevez is definetly one of them.

so no vidic & ferdinand vs Arsenal thi s Sun huh?

:D

Adebayor ....................

hmm I guess fergie knows w/o at least ferdianand vs AFC, sure chalat one ...

BUT

I'd rather have a half fit ferdie than a fully fit replacement anytime .....

:D
