Sporting Lisbon president Filipe Soares Franco says Cristiano Ronaldo is now unrecognisable to the player he sold to Manchester United in 2003.
"I am unable to recognise the Cristiano Ronaldo who left Sporting. Sporting is good at development, but he has responded to playing for Manchester United," said Soares Franco.
"I watched the game with Roma and, for me, Manchester, which had eleven on the field, now have eight of the best players in the world.
"Cristiano Ronaldo has become No1 by being at Manchester United, playing in the best league in the world and by playing every year in the Champions League."

ManU's systme these days do not call for target-man striker which most folks find hard to accept. So Rooney is seen as an out and out striker - which he's not. So folks who see Rooney as an out and out striker will not appreciate his finishing as compared to Drogba.
Any one of Rooney, Ronaldo, Park, Nani and even Giggs will go into the strikers role as and when play dictates. This makes it almost impossible to man-mark Ronaldo and has worked wonders in the last 8 games or so.
