Condolences about your guitar. I know what it's like to lose an old friend. Shit happens, and could happen to anybody. Maestro still has my confidence, and respect for doing the best they can in such a difficult situation.

i've never owned such an old guitar, and neither do i know you, but i can feel your pain.

here's a practical suggestion: provide everyone here with info regarding the guitar (brand/model/serial number/identifiable charactristics/pictures) so that if it somehow turns up, or (more likely) whoever took it decides to sell it one day, perhaps we can still inform you. it isn't very likely, but at least it's something.

i agree with senn_liu, singapore have a very small music community. So unless that guy/gal sold it overseas, it's possible to see your guitar again.

i am utterly confused. so is there a surveillance cam or not? why was the owner told that there wasnt any surveillance cam in the first place? and if there is... can the person/owner view the footage of the stolen guitar. so to clear the air that this was a pure theft case by people outside of maestro and not maestro themselves. cuz i believe there will be people thinking that this could be an inside job. which i doubt and sincerely hope its not. cuz i sent my guitars there for set-ups and repairs as well.

so they can have a peace of mind and still be able to put their trust in maestro. with prolly heighten security after this experience. i agree we are all not perfect. and i agree that such case is something nobody wants. but i feel at least showing the footage to the owner of the guitar, would at least give them a peace of mind, and view this as an unfortunate event. and still have a good relationship with maestro guitars.

just speaking my mind for my fren here. cuz i recommended him to zen. which he recommended to his fren. and his fren entrusted the guitar to him. so yeah... just my few cents worth. thanks.

but one of the boss from maestro replied on the thread at page 2 saying that there is a cam. but the resolution is poor.

Hozen shared:

"To share with you, we had our display broken and 2 guitars stolen early this year and to date we are unable to track the culprit even with the assistance of police and footage from surveillance cam."

I think Hozen was referring to the glass panel display at the basement connection walkway from Davis to Guitar Connection. He is probably referring to the building's cam.

As blogged,

TS should probably let us know what guitar is it so should the stolen guitar surface somewhere, people can identify it and report to the necessary authorities. This might also prevent anyone from purchasing a stolen guitar from any local classifieds.

Yeah, tell us more bout the guitar. Brand, model, finish... If possible, serial number. We can all play a part in trying to recover your stolen guitar, bro.

i sincerely hope you recover your lost guitar and death to whoever took it

for he knows how bad a guitarist cant live without THE instrument.

Hello TS,

I know you must be frustrated that Maestro had misplaced a 30year old guitar. I felt for you. However, we must know, no matter how much you rant, the guitar is not coming back. Why not you try to help yourself by posting a picture of your guitar, so we can look out for you.

I agree it's a mistake made by Zenguitarwrk.

However, please do not take an opportunity to flame them.

Evident: I'm pretty sure, they say it will probably be ready to collect on the day you wanted. I sent my guitars for repair job in Zen as well, I know very well the retail staff did not give you a certain date because they are not the ones doing the repair. Furthermore, it had nothing to do with the service of Maestro, because I believe they have many repair jobs before yours to complete before they can work on your guitar. So if you wants any express service, maybe you should pay an express service fee.

this is the best reply so far in this thread...........straight to the pt of hw we can help ..

yeap i'll be more than happy to help out. it will help immensely by letting everyone know that u lost a certain guitar with this serial number so in case the person who stole it tries to sell it off, there might be a chance that ppl already know what the guitar looks like and know its serial number. i really dont think there's any harm posting up on as many forums as possible to cover ground. i saw analogman's website and there were many posts titled "stolen pedals". so thats the most logical thing to do now.

also inform everyone how to contact you, in case PMing might be too slow.

So there are no security cameras fixed within Zenguitarwrk?
by right? resolution at night should be quite clear also right? those who owns surveliance cameras?

bro..i think its now on how to help rather then focusing on what shld hav been.....
can the person involved give us details n also pics of the guitar?

and identifying marks of the guitar itself - 30 year old guitars have some very dead give aways so..

sadly we can't reply in buy/sell anymore but we'll PM the TS if we see it yeah....

what's happened has happened and guitars aren't exactly things that people can steal from shops - i can sort of understand why whether there are surveillance cams or not does not really matter... but i'd feel a lot safer i guess...
