Hey ppl! Has anyone checked out Maestro Guitars at Excelsiour beside Guitar Connection? Went there a couple of days ago and tried out their classicals and acoustics... they sounded very decent for the price manz.. can get a decent solid top for under $400 and I feel for the price it beats Yamaha. Anyone tried out their guitars? Lets share info here!

Went past the shop today. The guitar looks expensive or at least the shop looks very upmarket. Didn't realise that it was that affordable. A Singapore brand..mmm where is it made?

How come that are no Singapore barnd electric guitars?

BTW, there's another second hand guitar shop at Level 2, next to Ashleigh Music at Peninsula Shopping Centre. Forgot its name but it sells guitars and also has a studio for jamming hire.

the sell mainly 2nd hand stuff they got more guitars if u ask da dudes :D ashleigh music is a CHEETER ! hes the santa fe cheattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt !

hi stars

you have made quite a strong remark about the music shop(ashleigh music). do you care to explain what was the experience you had with them that made you feel so.

I agree. The guitars are much better than what others are offering at the price range.

Hi good people of soft,

Since people are talking about us, I think its a good time for us to make a "formal" introduction to u guys. Maestro Guitars is a 100% Singapore registered brand of guitars. We had enlisted the assistance of various senior luthiers from spain, paraguay (Classical) and study extensively on plans by Martin/Taylor (Acoustic) for our guitars. We had recently purchase a small guitar factory in China to produce our lower range guitars. The main difference between us and other China guitars is that we are 100% Singaporean owned and managed, we chose the material/plan that goes into the making of the guitar and strict quality control is implemented at the factory and 2nd QC in Singapore.

Currently we use quality canadian engelmann spruce for our Top wood, Mahogany from Indonesia and Rosewood from India. We are quite particular with the material we use as we are particular with the sound we want.

We also have classical guitars(Higher ends) produced under the Maestro label from very established factories in Spain as well as Luthier grade guitars from our Mentor in Paraguay.

We are very serious about our guitar making business. As we are speaking we have already numerous projects to improve our guitars and in the process of making world-class and affortable all solid models for both classical and acoustic at the Maestro factory.

We hope to make you a part of us as well and we need you guys to come down to our concept store at Excelsior to try out guitars out. Give all the comments on how we can improve our guitars... how you want a singapore guitar to be... show off your skills or just to have a chat with us. :D

Thanks Maestro for that warm introduction. Will definitely step in to try out some ofthe acoustics there.

BTW, any plans to make electric guitars or at least some arch tops or semi-hollows?
