Maestro Guitars

Maestro Guitars are indeed a raising brand in the local market scene!Being the only one that manufactures their own series of guitar,they are progressing fast with many offers like eg. their Jumbo and Dreadnought are killers!

Many would often,when purchasing a guitar,compares different brand and model.So do you think that Maestro is a brand that is worth the comparision as to Taylor,Martin,Blueridge,Maton,Guild,Gibsons,Seagull and many other great manufacturers that have been established for a long time?

Recent hype is all talking about getting local production to run singapore.Even the cleaners are now 70% local!So do you think we as a singaporean should be proud that we are using our very own local product?Or is this just yet another breeze blown by our government?

To what i see,i love the wood maestro guitars are offering!Especially when you saw those bear claws marks on the solid tops! Those stuff can easily cost you over $1.5k but yet they are offering a great rock bottom price!Frets are very well levelled and the actions are the best of what a fingerpicker would dream for!

So whats your say of Maestro Guitars? If you own one,do post a pic of it and review your Maestro!

Singapore brand, made in China.

But yes, I do find the Maestro guitars to be very good quality when I played with them at the shop.

They have this brand of guitars called blueridge and they are shockingly good for their prices...

The last time i went to maestro, i tried the cedar top/rosewood back&sides. That one is killa stuff.. I'm not sure about the model. Remember to try that one!!!

Whats the difference between your design and other "rounder" ones without that space for the palm to higher frets

u mean that singlecut from my guitar?? its jus a design for easier upper access...i dun think it affects the sound of guitar...i jus prefered tis cos i can play a higher note...

I've tried several models of Maestro guitars like the SD and SA series. I feel that their good stuffs usually are priced 250 and up... can really tell the difference between the sub-200 guitars and >250 ones. Laminated/solid I didn't really ask.
I recommended a SD-3 to my friend to buy and I really like it. The blueridges are pretty nice too. Just have a bit of issue with the BR-100 series headstock, too flowery for me.. hee hee...
By the way, they sell B-band pickups too at a reasonable price, cheaper if packaged with a guitar purchase.
Their staff are also one of the friendlier ones around, comparable to the wonderful guys from g77 and luther.

I like maestro guitars. Great bang for the buck. Been wanting to pop by a get a nice one for a long long time.

But I really really hope they'll do something about the thick decal outlines on the headstock. Cheapens the whole awesome package.

Read somewhere that decal materials outlines can be softened with regular white vinegar.
