Mac

Switched a couple of years back mainly due to internet security.
Both PC and Mac are very good systems.
Now using Logic so all the more Mac.

Cheers!

Ardour, a DAW for Linux (and Mac too I think) looks pretty interesting and could use more refinements for a totally functional open-source audio editing software.

Maclindow c/w Scenes-based OS

As I drift away from my office desk into SOFT ... I dream of a Maclindow machine that would do wonders musically. In the clouds of my dreamy state, I can see:

  1. A rack mounted computing platform, the all-new Maclindow (it'd be as good if not better in terms of computing muscles compared to the highest end Mac and the Axe-Fx);
  2. It is a computer, MFX (capable of generating pure tube-like sounds), Gaming machine, Entertainment, the works;
  3. USB3.0 connection to my floor controller, my synthesizer keyboard, computing keyboard, mouse;
  4. Scenes-based OS that allows to switch on-the-fly, from MFX to MS Office to DAW to my Youtube channel to a totally separate Gaming partition maximized for ultimate gaming pleasure, to whatever because it'd be a 1TB RAM machine;
  5. The OS would update itself through my fibre-optics broadband connection;
  6. The Scenes-based OS would be connected to various LED-based panels, with one reserved for monitoring my investment portfolio;
Zzzzz .....

And while we are on the topic of dreaming:

The DAW software can auto-arrange all the music for us. All we need to do is to connect electrodes to the computer and "think" of the music, and all the arrangments in multiple-parts get churned out. That will be nice...
