Especially under dim lights, it's easy to get confuse trying to stomp here and there. Try keep things simple

Colour coding I say!!!!!

Every LED a different colour!!!!

Or you could have a custom made true TUBE bypass box with tubes mounted on top of it... so that the ghostly glow of 9v heated tubes will light your stomp path!

but wouldn't it be too late when u stomp and see it's a different led light?? :)

When did you start advocating tube gimmicks? You already know that the guyatone MM-X metal monster is the king of gimmicks. STOP GIMMICKING gimmicks...

hey ken, thanks haha..no prob abt the rambling =)

lead sound 1: blackstone + ts9 + dd20/dd5
lead sound 2: crunchbox + dd20/dd5
lead sound 3: small clone + dd20/dd5
lead sound 4: blackstone + ts9 + small clone + dd20/dd5
rhythm sound 1: blackstone + ts9
rhythm sound 2: crunchbox + ts9
rhythm sound 3: screwdriver + dd5
rhythm sound 4: mayo + dd5
rhythm sound 5: one of the above ods + EVH phaser

just a little add-on
It's probably possible to reach this combination, but not all can fit into ur 6 loops, some may have to stay outside.

I think other than planning ur sound, it's also about planning what sounds for what songs when u are gigging, too much planning to be done in my opinion. Especially under dim lights, it's easy to get confuse trying to stomp here and there. Try keep things simple

Thanks fellas...

then what do ppl with HUGE pedalboards full of stompboxes usually do? pedal dance? Besides a midi switcher as sugg by Daniel...

I'll be trying out the diff combis once all the pedals are in, I do agree that I should try to keep things simple, though I was hoping to use the looper to provide access to a myriad of sounds. The reality of it is probably that I won't use enough sounds in a live gig to justify such arduous planning, as CK said.

Muchos gracias for all the insight! =)

pedaldance is just a part of wanting to have big board and wanting to use it. Those looper thing, can be useful, but also need to plan out how to use it, in accordance to the sequence of songs(as to call upon different effect) that one might be playing in gig etc.

imho

Man, its only pedal dance or a midi switcher...

Hmmm....
Organise your pedals into loops if you wish.

E.g.
Guitar to:

LOOP 1: Pre-gain loop (phaser, wah, Compressor, EQ)
LOOP 2: Clean loop (Compressor, Envelope Filter)
LOOP 3: Dirty loop (Bstone, Skreddy, Fuzzes)
LOOP 4: Post-gain loop (Chorus, Compressor, EQ, boosters)
LOOP 5: Wet Effects loop (Delays, reverb, echo)
LOOP 6: Self Destruct mode (Reverse Earth's Rotation)

Something like that?
