Does any1 know how to tweak the knobs if im looking for basically sounds from metal bands like a7x, bullet or trivium..im using my line 6 pod x3 live and i cant seem to get it rite.. Sumtimes it sounds muddy.. Other times it doesnt blend in with the bass and the drums.. So here goes.. I have 6 knobs.. Drive, presence, treble,mids, bass,reverb... Basically im looking for the sound which enables me to play riffs and sum guitar leaks.. Like for example bullet for my valentine.. Thanx for ur help!

ok lah, basically if you want to get the tone of your favourite guitarist, you should use the same kind of rig. if you are hardcore enough you should know how to find out what he uses.
if you want the 'best' tone, that one is difficult. firstly because people usually decide on a specific piece of equipment. but tone is determined by so many factors, with a pedal being only one of them. furthermore when the song is recorded it gets mixed down, so it may even be impossible to recreate the exact effect live.
secondly, tone is subjective to what you think suits your style of play, and what you believe your tone should sound like
