Looking for a basic mixing / mastering course

Hi all,

I'm a hobbyist composer who wants to improve / enhance the sound of my compositions, so it sounds good and "radio-ready". My current compositions tend to sound muffled for some reason.

Thought of taking up a short (hopefully inexpensive) course to learn the basic concepts and tools in mixing / mastering. Any recommendations? My DAW is Logic Pro, if that is relevant in any way.

Thanks!

Logic Pro has many plug-in to do the mixing and mastering.
I dunno there is many short courses for mixing and mastering.
You many want to go through the Logic certified course as they will show you a lot of function and plug-in.
I think a forum member there is a certified Logic trainer.

There is video product called the Secret of the Pros. They have three title about mixing. If you mess yourself with EQ,compression,reverb.....etc. These videos will cover as many topic about mixing. The DAW they used is Protools but all the technique are the same. Logic have the equivalent function and plug-ins.

I do teach in intune music school with Logic or Garageband. Mainly for people wanna do own demo and do to complex arrangement for commercial use. Along the way, I will teach mixing and recording too.

From the start of the brass melody. C-G-F-G-Ab-C-E. The brass shift from left to right. Hmm... why I did not catch that in the first place in open mics thread.

Thanks Ron (Blueprint) for the vote of confidence! I just put it on my facebook too and alluded to you.

To Kong Wee - you're catching it now because I had some mastering help from Blueprintstudios. :)

Cheers all
