Local Drumers!

that is sweeeeeet dude! Love that Zildjian China of yours... though i have no idea wats the model.

heard u were supposed to come down for the lesson yesterday man! wat happened?

hey wired u might wanna consider turning ur china upside down...saves ur stick's life...just a humble suggestion dood...haha

how i wish i had a drumset at your age

Frummer if he can afford a kit like that, i don't think he has to worry very much about buying new drumsticks!!

hmm...im actually lookinf vic firth dave weckl drum stick. im looking for the old model which is red in colour. anyone have any idea where to get?

That's a 18" A custom Swish cymbal. A china-type cymbal, not exactly a china itself . You're "supposed" to play it bell facing up, and yeah, I prefer it that way because it's easier to do ride patterns, and the its also easier to control the crash when coming down on its edge.

Oh and Vio, yes, sorry about that, had to complete some work the moment I returned from school in the morning. I'll definitely drop by for the next lesson though!

And err... yes, sticks are expensive. I've been using this pair of Vicfirth 5As for over 1 year now and I don't intend to buy another pair till this one dies on me.

Yep, I can testify to that. I paid for most of the drum gear myself, and over a period of time, I built up that little kit right there.

hey wired , mayb 1 day u can let me try ur set! hahaha....

actually i got the $$$ liao...left the permission...

hmm...anyway...is ludwig CS accent custom a nice kit to play with ? im thinking abt this kit for quite a period...can anyone help?

ive considered it b4...

i tink its quite a reasonable drumset!costing 1.2k...birch...satin finish...ok la...although ludwig has a reputation of bad hardware...haha

best if u can try...which u cant considering its swee lee selling...

so u gotta do a leap of faith

stands and stuff...practically the equipment used to hold up all the drums and cymbals...

stampede_11.jpg

I use the following set up for jamming and gigs...

Cymbals (left to right):
15" cracked Wuhan chinese
14" Paiste 402 hi-hats (loaned)
18" Paiste 502 crash
8" cracked Zildjian Edge splash
10" Zildjian A splash
16" Paiste 502 crash
18" Paiste 402 crash/ride
22" Zildjian (unknown series) ride (loaned)
12" Sabian AAX mini-chinese
17" Sabian AAXtreme chinese

Hardware:
Pearl Power Shifter double pedals (beaten up)
1 Pearl straight stand
1 Tama boom stand
2 Yamaha boom stands
1 Tama Stilt straight stand
3 mini boom stands
4 cymbal attachments
Tama snare stand
1 twin tom/cymbal holder attachment
1 brandless drum throne
A dozen pairs of recycled Regal Tip, Vic Firth sticks

Drums:
5 1/2" x 14" Tama Starclassic snare (mine)
10" Pearl Export tom (mine)
12" tom
16" floor tom

The 12" tom and 16" floor tom would belong to the studio or the default kit at gigs. I'd just take out the 13" tom and add my 10" tom to the kit and rearrange everything to a 10", 12" and 16" set-up.

Matno, been a long tyme hearing from you and your Band Global Chaos in drumming circles.
Wish you and your band, best of the best.
