and as the show was happening too :p

'twas fun! wayyyyyy too many people but it's a good thing still. the performances were really good last night, kudos esp to sleeq! they were slick indeed.

Finally I was there to witness the show live. Can see that the bands/artistes were all hyped up and giving their best during their short set.

However sadly to say, for a gig organised by the national broadcaster, the house mix sucked! No wonder it sounded bad on tv. The band mixes were not balanced as the bass and drums levels totally overdrowned the guitars and sometimes the vocals.

Real pity as I saw some real nice boutique pedals being used..

My goodness. I'm not a fan of Paul Twohill, (Never had since his Singapore Idol stint) so can someone tell me whether his act was worthy of 4 minutes or worthy of the fast-forward button?

Cool. Paranoid Vision. Hopefully they're not singing "Fallen Back" but some other song. I've heard the former too many times on MySpace! :p

You mean the house mix at Mediacorp itself? Was it really that bad? I wasn't there but I'm looking forward to watching the repeat telecast on TV.

As a fellow engineer working in the audio visual industry, the mix was pretty bad in my point of view... No wonder the tv audio feed sounds "weak" as well...

Well, assuming analog splits from the stage were fed to the broadcast mixer, the house mix at Mediacorp shouldn't affect the TV broadcast mix at all. Anyway, I know how it feels like to have an excellent gig let down by mediocre sound.

Still, kudos to the Live N Loaded team for really bringing local music to TV. :D

That's what I thought as well unless they just send a stereo feed from the house board to the broadcast mixer. But seriously I find the house mix for LnL to be bad when I've heard better house mixes done by Mediacorp during Anugerah Band..

I love LnL but I'm quite a b*itch to please when live sound is involved...
