to DontDeRockMe, i got the cd's from Roxy. they are located at Excelsior 2nd floor. i place a special order from them and it took them abt 3wks to get them. costs me $19.00 each!

and yes Subversion, the Mr Big cd is kind of lame. a bit more laid back and bluesy. and it seems like Paul and Billy were made to play 'less technically' and 'less flashy'. i guess that's why Paul refuses to return to Mr Big.

i'm somehow thankful that Mr. BIG broke up & Gilbert currently being active in solo projects, more importantly, RACER X!

Exodus – Shovel Headed Kill Machine
The latest by the veteran San Francisco Bay Area thrash gods.
Otherwise known now as the Gary Holt Band.
One word review: Intense

Celtic Frost – To Mega Therion
I985's seminal second album by the Switzerland proto-black metal band.
Don't let the front cover scare you. On the inside sleeve there's a picture of a fluffy teddy bear poking out of a bunch of roses.
Yes I'm kidding.
One word review: Primitive

Helloween – Keeper Of The Seven Keys - The Legacy
The latest offering by the legendary German metallers.
After the previous stinker of an album, they needed to generate public interest by harking back to their most famous catalogue.
But they can tell me to go screw myself.

Wow.. these two albums are in stores already?! Where you got them from? Inokii? I thought "Tempo of the Damned" was pretty good although some songs' lyrics were pretty cheesy! How's the new singer sound like?

Yes my friend! They are out...
I got the Exodus CD from Inokii. This album is more aggressive than Tempo... I think, but the lyrics are still pretty cheesy in some places. The new singer sounds pretty much like Steve Souza actually, but not nasal and annoying as that guy. But the similarities are uncanny. What's more amazing is, he was actually a bass player and have never sung before.
I just got the Helloween CD yesterday from Roxy. It's a double album and I haven't heard much of it yet, so I can't tell you if it's good or not at this point.
Next on my list is Annihilator's Schizo Deluxe. I've already ordered it from Inokii. I'm also looking forward for the next Devin Townsend Band album. I might also be getting the beefed-up King Diamond's Abigail CD with the extra live and videos DVD.
I guess I'm just gonna eat grass for a while.

What I read is that the guy is actually a roadie for the band before and decided to try out (or something like that)... But what I'm real interested in checking out is Paul Bostaph's performance in Exodus!

Say, isn't that Dark Angel in your sig?

I read in Metal Maniacs the guy was in a lot of small bands before. Either way I think he's the right dude for the job, no doubt about that.
What is there to say about Paul Bostaph? Probably THE best drummer to come out of the Bay Area. The guy rips like there's no tomorrow. You know, for a man who always seems to sustain some kind of injury or another, he sure thrash the kit like nobody's business.
Speaking of drummers, I just got the Testament Live In London DVD and I realised John Tempesta is one hell of a good drummer. His stints with White Zombie and Rob Zombie and also Helmet do not do justice to the guy's drumming skills. That's what I think anyway. Cos I'm a total thrash head.

Hell yeah that's Dark Angel!
I thought there was supposed to be a reunion or something, I guess it's not happening huh?
Bummer.
