How is the Rusty Cooley album? I've only seen the videos of him shredding, can he write and structure good songs?

this album proves one thing- Cooley is an accomplished finger gymnast. majority of the materials are acceleration-inclined, at the expense of melody. don't get me wrong, this guy has lots of tasteful licks in store, but it's not represented in this release.

content-wise, it's not as superb as the Mastodon DVD, but the backstage/ on the road footage is very enjoyable. a worthy buy IMO.
