Well... if thats the case then my eyes must have played tricks on me when I saw it at Swee Lee last month. Dunno how it got there when the release should be today but yeah there was 1 piece there.

Didn't pick it up to try though, was contented with my guitar gas to not wanna try new ones yet...

I wonder how much will it be especially the Epiphone. I'm not also a fan of GnR or Slash but heck it's a Lespaul!!

i think i saw the epi version at bras basah alr

gibson seems to be putting alot of effort into promoting slash as its player eh

all the emails i receive from them are always about slash slash slash

re:

besides the slash logo and alnico II pups. I don't think there is any other added feature in gibson's slash LP. not worth the $$$ in my opinion.

the epiphone version is better, same pups as the gibby version, long tenon neck construction and solid maple top if im not mistaken..

Does the Epi version come with the Piezo and the long neck tenon? The Alnico II pups are also a big difference. If this is below $3k, then the Epi to me isn't even worth considering.

but the sunburst les paul isnt chamberred so those who wanna have that original les paul sound get this one.

No piezo's on the Epi to my knowledge. But it does have the long neck tennon.

the epiphone comes with the alnico II pups. The price diff btw the gibby and epiphone list price is about $2000 USD. are the specs btw the two $2000 apart? no, not in my opinion...

i mean just my 2cents worth la. i think if you get the epi, you're getting almost the same thing for half the price.

A Gibson Les Paul especially with Slash's name being used will be worth every cent even though it's way overpriced. Anyway he's the guy that brought the Gibson Les Paul to further heights when he used it while standing on a piano on November Rain. He may not be a shredder but he's got tons of mojo not forgetting the rockstar everyone wants to be... :)

And an epiphone will never sound like the original as the wood and other specs are bound to differ even though if u have the same pickups. And yes Dime is right, it isn't chambered so it's going to sound different from your normal Les Paul standards. And pls don't buy it from Swee Lee(not that I'm dissing them) but they seriously overprice all their goods. Wait for the 50% sale.... Might i add why it's so freaking expensive is because it's a limited edition which means not many are going to be produced so it's a collectable which will only increase in price over the years....
