Level/Tonal boost during solos

hi all,

would really appreciate if you guys could help me out with this.

I would need some serious recommendations on what pedal to get in order to get a level/tonal boost during guitar solos. Focus is mainly on the level.

I've tried adjusting guitar volume level and pedal volume level during performance but its not working well for me. Sometimes im way too soft or vice versa. Can someone could give me advice on how to deal with this? As in what gears am I lacking of.

It should work if you do it right. Good pots with a nice taper will help also.

Start with maybe volume at 6 or 7, and build ur main rhythmn tone from there. So just imagine this is your guitar at 10. Rolling the volume knob full is your boost. You will not only get an increase in volume, but an increase in gain also.

A clean boost will still be the best and easiest way. You can also lose treble as you roll down the volume knob.

Can. Graphic eqs are really useful. Can be set up as a clean boost, frequency boost/cut, even an attenuater.

Like the TS, looking for such, but also a boost in gain. Placing my OD before my main drive gives little volume boost, placing it after, change the actual tone. Hmm

Hahaha, if you have the money to spare then I highly recommend what Malcolm recommended a few posts above. The Flying Dragon. Just do a search around here to find out more about it, I believe Edgar has posted quite a detailed review on it somewhere,

I use the Catalinbread Serrano Chili picoso for a somewhat clean boost. Another alternative for you.

im actually looking for supplementary boost. to switch channels i will have to get to the amp and do it manually, or if not i will need a footswitch. dont really have that kind of luxury during gigs haha. so yup only supplementary boost.

i have a better understanding now on how to deal with this. thank u guys so much for your help!
