Well, actually the stuff that you learn in secondary school is actually going to come in handy next time, believe it or not.

And humanities are not useless!

History, to teach you the mistakes of the past so you don't repeat them in the future. Also to give knowledge of one's own culture and background.

Literature, to appreciate the written form of art. I find that it teaches a person to look beyond the surface, to look deeper into hidden meanings and at a larger picture.

Geography, uhh, finding your way around, sea, land, air navigation, quite useful skill no?


Haha, I thought that way once, that the stuff they teach is dumb, but hey, you can't escape it and you need to rely on it to advance to poly/JC, so might as well just study it.

aiya...last time i study at burger king b4 my Os....kena scolded by ang moh...lol...he said, "Its the holidays! Why are you studying so hard?! Do you know that less than 10% of this crap you learn will be used in your working life?" then he keep disturbing me... :?

i saw that bugger again several mths later, he was at guitar 77 exchanging some vulgarity filled compliments on their guitars...whahaha...

anyway, theres a huge diff b/w our culture and the ang morh mentality. they tell u straight to ur face usually, but we leave u alone. lol. wonder why they are so outspoken huh.

also, not just u lost focus la candie, lol, i think alot of my classmates and students all over generally are damn sian liao. after mugging for 2 weeks like no more petrol to run the engine liao.

First paper is emaths and ss, I suppose all of us are taking it. Gotta mug hard okay! Let's not feel bad cause we didn't give it our best shot. Don't wanna feel shitty for the next 3 months while waiting for the results right.. Just mug hard for this less-than-a-week and we can party all we want afterwards, yeah?

from what i feel..not much of what i learnt in sec school is related to my course now..maybe except for maths..but mostly...u just need e basics i suppose and once ur doing ur diploma (for those who chose poly) its gonna start focusing towards a certain area..i dont think poly is a bad route..it just depends on what u wanna do with ur life..but even tho these subjects may not be necessary..u still needa study them to get thru ur Os...another 20 days..and u prob dont have to worry abt them... :twisted:
