Lengthen Pickup Wires

Good day to all the guitar pros out there,

I'd like to know if it possible to lenghten a 'cut' wire on the pickup by soldering it back with another piece of wire? Because I got a guy who used a PAF Pro on the bridge but I wanted to use it for neck, so i am in doubt whether the sound quality would still be the same after the soldering job...

Wad do you think guys? Help me out pls... Thankx a lot...
