Learning to read tao gay on guitar

I tried many times but never got really good at it... still can't sight read like those classical players... to those who can sight read, any pointers? how u train? Thanks.

You need practice. No shortcut to it man... really...

Its the same for every instrument, you have to work at reading score to do it well.

yup, the only way to it is through practice... i started off playing piano then classical guitar... one useful tip though, practice scales with the "tao gay" notes and u should alos remember playing in the 5th and 7th positions

Ippier .... Yeah ... it's all about practice. Buy Guitar Scores and spend hours reading and playing ... but of course you must know your fundementals. Like Time Signatures, Quavers, Crochets, Tied Notes, and of course ... the notes itself.

There's a book from William Leavitt called "A modern method for Guitar" ... it's a Textbook used for Berklee school of Music. Can get it from D-Music ... Paradiz Centre. This is a book that teaches you to sight read on guitar ... it's good course it actually tells you how to position your fingers on certain notes on the staff.
