Which is better Marshall MG15-CDR or KUSTOM Tube 12A?

Do any of you know the pros and cons these amps?

the Kustom would be a better option against the Marshall. unless you opt for the MG15 stack (which i did, pictured below), you'll regret not spending more on something which doesn't give off a shrieky tone.

Is it true that, TUBE amp is very fragile?

What are the type of Amps available out there?

There are just too many brands to confuse myself,
there are peavey, laney, marshall, kustom,
ibanez, fender......

When selecting an Amp like this, what are the features i should look for.

I do like to have some effects like wah, flander,
tremolo...

There's pure Tube amps(misconceptions that tube amps are fragile)
Hybrids(Tube pre-Amp, S/S output control)
And the standard Solid States we all see in the jamming studio.

Tubes aren't as fragile as you think, just need changing once in a while.
Like everything else that's out there, they "color" your tone in a certain way.
It has natural saturation and compression when you push it, and richer harmonics.

Thanks for the reply.

As a new kid on the block to electric guitar. Which type of amp a fresh electric guitarist like me should get though?? Since there are Pure Tube Amp, Hybrids and Solid States.

What is Solid States though?

solid state amps has a transistor circuitry, absolutely no tubes in the system, eg: my Marshall depicted in the post above.

there's no one amp type for any particular individual, you just have to try them out & embrace the one you like, regardless of its make (ie, tube or otherwise).

Thanks subsversion.

Did some reading from the web, came across this quote
Guitar power amplifiers and/or preamplifiers are commonly driven with very high gain into overload for a variety of reasons. One benefit of this practice is to mask the difference in levels between a plucked string, tapped notes on the fret-board, and various techniques to produce string harmonics.

What do the author mean, when he says High Gain to mask the diff levels......????

Heya, why dun u got for the Kustom Dual 30. Its going for $299 at luthermusic. Very cheap cuz they give alot of discount already. They sound is warmer than the Kustom 12. It also has more headroom and presence.

I think wad he means is that u get alot of gain for tapping and stuff. So your guitar becomes a very 'sensitive' instrument.

I've heard a marshall stack. The 15watts one that subversion have. The sound is soso.. like a normal solid state, nothing spectacular. Just that the looks are like WHOA!!! If i have one at home... hehe a furniture man. Imagine if friends come over and see... hardcore... haha
