Hi people

Anybody here seen/used Korg Toneworks PX4? Which is a better/cheaper place to buy Korg stuff..City Music or Luthier?
Satch & Petrucci said some good things abt PX4

i've played the PX-4 & feel that the device sorely lacks a midrange control knob. the PX-4 sounds very impressive through headphones & decent through an amp at low volume settings, beyond a certain level, things get muddy especially at high gain.

however, my hope for that missing feature is answered with the debut of the PX-4D (pic below). aiming for a December acquisition. if you are interested, we can go check it out soon... 8) the 4D is one-up against the superseded PX-4 as it can accomodate bass as well.

Hi Sub

Thanx for ur input, bro!
Where do u suggest to buy it frm? City Music?
My wife's giving birth somewhere in January..having this PX4 while practicing guitar does help :D
Any idea wats the retail price for PX4D?

i'm getting the PX-4D mainly due to consideration- sometimes, i play late at night & my wife told me she can hear me doing black metal at 3am, so i guess the PX-4D would be my nocturnal companion soon...

no details/ prices out yet. i suggest we'll get it from the retailer who can offer the best price for it 8)

on another note, you can consider something similar to the PX-4D, the KORG Ampworks which is about $220 (List), the last time i checked it out. it's cheaper than the PX namely because there are no backing track/ FX features in it.

If you happen to want the Ampworks, I'm selling mine for $100. Used for recording a couple of times, but selling now becuase i've converted to micing my amp instead. Condition is basically mint, and have manual. PM me if interested.
