KICK ASS SINGLE COILS.

heard the kinmans are good.. yep... man u're really heavily investing on gear :p already selling ur pedals...

OK GUYS...
THE KINMANS ARE HERE.
AND THEY ARE IN THE MOTHER GOOSE NEST .. I REPEAT THE FALCONS ARE LANDING...

####ing awesome single coils...
really... amazing...
REALLY REALLY good sounding pickups... this is how all single coils should be made man...really...

very very quiet - clean or at high gain settings.
K7 blend knob is damn shiok ... blends the neck into the bridge pickup...

strat people must check this out... i havent heard fralins ... or suhr... but these kinmans are absolutely gd shit. the reviews werent lying.

the class of 55 is acutally quite nice... used to have one... but its not humcancelling .. so you will need shileding etc...

the hs-2 ... no idea... tried hs3 and yjm ..both are great pickups... for all genres.. not fixed on malmsteen or shred... i think they particularly sound great on bright guitars... maple fretboard etc...due to their enhanced mids and bass...

heh... aren't you having a HS2 on ur sig? :p

yup ...
honestly, the hs2 izznt as great as i tot it would be. It has a fuller thicker sound and is nice with distortion & overdrive, but clean ... ok lor ... not dat great ~ even my crappy craftsman stock pickup (mid) sounds abit "sweeter" and more "stratish" den it.

i's just wondering if dat's the way the pup suppose to sound, and wanted to see other ppls comments on it.

also .. is the HS2 able to produce the sound of a humbucker, like the SD hotstack ??

the hs2 doesnt sound like a single coil.
its very beefy... compared to a true single coil.

personally the cleans of a hs-2 issnt really much to cheer about.
but it should shine under distortion or overdrive.

Class of 55'. Very glassy sounding, very nice bright tone. Not to the point of ice pick bright though. Depends on which guitar you install in. Its EQ-ed similar to the Blue Velvet, the latter being more suited for warmer sounds. Its a nice pickup in the bridge for cleans. Not sure about driven.

Chanmin, the kinmans sound good man. How much in all + shipping did you pay for them?

What's the output difference like as compared to the YJM/HS3s?

ok, this might sound funny to some:

i read a long time ago in a guitar mag that eric johnson uses the HS-2, but he wires it as a single coil. it is said to produce one of the best vintage single coil sounds. but not sure which strat it is used on. if all the while ppl have been thinking he uses "great vintage" equiptment to get his "tone".

i cannot find the magazine now.
maybe google...

i paid $410 USD

AVN blues set
pre wired assembly (K7 blend ,pots , 5way switch , input jack, gold screws etc... )
gold pickup pole pieces...

id say i paid alittle too much for these... would highly advise for the standard package... gold pole pieces and pre wire assembly pushed costs way high...
