THinking of getting a marsahll AMP from davis.

WHEN down yesterday the Price of DSL 401 seem affordable and TSL601 seem great...

but 2x12 sound better then 1x12.

When back home to check - that there the New JVM seem hot.

Should i get a 1x12 or 2x12 combo
or a head with 2x12 cab...

ERM ----- should i wait for the JV M or just get the DSL 40 or TSL60 in the store???

What the main different " sound wise" - clean and dist.....for the DSL vs TSL vs JVM

if you live in hdb an volume is an issue get the JVM.there is another version of the JVM coming.its the 205 if im not mistaken.

i live in a hole in the wall, otherwise known as an HDB apartment but didn't let this factor stop me from getting a stacked amp or the amp that i want...

i own the JVM 410H & must say it's the Marshall i have always wanted. from very clean to very intense, it's all in here.

the newer trimmed down JVM offers less channels so you must know what's in store for you before you actually decide to get one.

the DSL401 was my ex-Marshall amp. it has fantastic cleans this side of Fender but the overdrive on board would only appease those non-metal fans. if you think of adding a drive/ distortion pedal to boost its aggression- it's not that simple because this one's conceived not to cross certain intensity threshold.

You guys have any idea when Davis is bringing in the new 2 channel JVM? It seems that some shops in the US already have them in stock.

BUT THE DSL401 is know for it heating problem..

Thanks dude ----

Can PM me the Price of JVM 50 watt 2x12 combo.
And when is the stock coming .....

THANKS very much....

Hope it at a great price....and be the first in line...for the amp when it reach our shore

don't believe in 'hot-plating' an amp's ouput as this would wear the power tubes faster.

from my experience with hotplates,

the more you attenuate, the slower the response of the amp to your playing dynamics - sluggish, dampened feel.

- it was something i couldn't stand. :(

that's another side effect. for those of us who wish for lower wattage at home but need the full wattage outdoors, do consider the models with switchable wattage.
