... to everyone who has helped our lonely vocal subforum grow, with both its information and its social network :) I'm liking the buzz, and it's nice to know the subforum has a good mix of experienced, amateur, informative tips and theory exchanges between us.

I hope we could keep it this way and help one another progress as well-rounded vocalists :)

Do try to join the hangouts and expand the social network within everyone's style and genre of music, I think it's a great way to meet more friends from all sorts of music backgrounds and to have tips exchanged in person. It's nice to hear someone else sing and learn their techniques that way, since everyone's voice is different, and not something we can just 'get' from reading tabs or something..

hehe, amateur singer here. hope to learn much from everyone during the VHC!

no problem, sis sage!

Don't learn how to fart in mics from fgl k....

mmmmm ...tramatizing isnt it... looks like we need a practical working demo of this obscure technique at the next VHC at SAC and & the karaoke joint

kdash - I do give other "lessons" too - PM for enquiries :rolleyes:

Yes...the last time this section of the forum is rather quiet. See...we got all the strong kaki's and it's becoming noisier than other. Hehehehe!!

Well, if not for Sage and Khai who started the whole Vocal hangout idea it might not even come to start. Thank you both Sage and Khai for starting it up!

Saluti!

BE A PART OF THE TALK ROX SING SONG SESSION AT FGL'S KAKI NANGS!

haha, eh wheres khai anyways that thambi...
hmm, just a question. how come my nose always gets blocked whenever i try to sing.

im not really sure myself.
its just blocked. cant really breath properly throughthe nose, and i will sound really bad..
you know its like having a cold.

haha, who the hell want to suck on it?

If you can't breathe through the nose, you could take breaths with your mouth instead; I don't really cultivate a habit of catching breaths with the nose, cos for me.. I take in more air from the mouth (which is why fgl's micfarting thing is a whole new dimension of horror for me).. It fills your breath support faster, imo..

On a sidenote, blocked noses actually help getting your tone straight and supported, it's actually easier to support to high notes / head voice, though I'm not so sure why :/ Maybe it's to do with blocking the air from escaping anywhere else..

hmm i see, im really a noob when it comes to singing. im just starting to learn last month. im still learning A E I O U on Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do. haha wait, did that make sense?

i hate my ex vox putting me through this. i figured i wanted to look for a vox but with the unreplied threads i already see here on soft. i figured whats the point.

and aww. i didnt know fgl would do that for me
