Just listened to some awesome music from Joe Bonamassa from his "blues deluxe" album and some live recordings. Guys and gals, if you haven't listened to him, give it a go, you'll enjoy every minute of his playing.

He's so versatile he can change from a SRV type bluesy melody on one song, to a fast and furious shred on the next. His acoustic numbers are lovely too.

Sadly I havent come across his music here in Sg, it was ordered from amazon.com.

YES I SHOULD.

gigliotti ....damn bloody beautiful finishes i must say... im half thinking of getting some aluminium body plate done and doing it on my own guitar...

*looks at pot tele anxiously*

might wanna make my own poor man gigliotti...
cannot affor $2600++ USD price tag.

my joe bonamassa signature licks and styles dvd coming in thru the mail any time soon... anyone got his albums?

ah wood still does it for me though i think some of the metal finishes are quite nicely done. id like to see something from gigliotti in entire chrome from headstock down. that would really rock my boat. ah wait a little longer and u can get some suhr magic from the pickups. im really having a good time with mine. surprisingly they r extremely clean and bell like but when i put it on drive it sounds heavier than my kinman woodstocks. that guitar just makes me wanna keep all the rest of my guitars in cold storage.

DVD is in man .... god damn ...this guy really knows how to enjoy his gear man ...
his playing is kinda like a eric johnson and SRV fusion ... its really eye opening man..

actually i found a link that explains the gigliotti guitar construction .. virtually everything can be done without alot of trouble. its the carving of the swirling effect on the metal plate i cant find any info on .... any one has any idea?

buffing? .... but wont that just blur the whole surface? ... the swirls see pretty random ... according to the gigliotti patent ... its done with water jets ....

crap man .. its google time again ...

looking up close on the finishing of the gigliotti id say u can get that kinda effect by using a those rotating hand sander thingys and doing just random moving about to get the swirled effect. else u could just go to them to see where they get their swirling done.

Joe B has quite a sizeable catolog available right now, most likely you won't be able to find them on hand in "normal" cd stores. If you're lucky places like borders might stock them...

For best results I always turn to Mr. Ho from Memphis Music down at Peninsula and do a special order through him. He's the best there is. :)

Yes, it available in Sg. I got his cd from Memphis music at Excelsior, actually very close by to G77. I bought the 'You & me' album.

He reminded me more of gary moore than anyone else, very aggressive bluesy style, fantastic player, lots of groove.

Highly recommend to listen to the track 'so many roads' and 'Django'. One of the very few album that i actually like if not most of the tracks.

He doesn't have just one style. It changes a lot. On the album Blues Deluxe, he sounds a lot like SRV on many songs. On others, he's like Gary Moore ("so many roads", for instance). Anyway we can't can him into one stereotype, he rocks.
