Jamming Studio - soon to open

loldude333, Kaye - thanks for the comments. It really helped.

1. LiveAMP will make the changes in the next revision.

2. This can be arranged specific to your band's needs.

3. Pictures are uploaded to website (www.liveamp.com.sg) - easier to click the facebook link and browse pics. Please take note that the pics will only show AURALEX DST bass traps (ceiling corners). LiveAMP have not installed the AURALEX 2 by 4 feet wedges yet as stock have not come in (only AV1 sell them in SG). So in terms of Acoustics, rest assured that you will have the top sound control specialist - Auralex - to take care of it. It will also not show the band posters we will put around the room as it is getting framed as we speak (e.g., beatles, metallica, red hot chili peppers, oasis, etc)

4. Agree, prices are high. This is because LiveAMP is aiming to provide a different studio experience. Like you, I am a jammer myself. So everything in the studio is what me and my bro/band want to have inside - space for my band, sofa (5 seater designer) for my friends, fridge, and decent gear.

LiveAMP look forward to hearing your band play - Get Amplified, Get Heard.

dude cool studio! but i really think the position of the amps and PA should change though, price is crazy but i can understand why(gear, space and comfort wise), but i really think it wont float many average young musicians boat here, but i'll bet you get to meet some bands who are "up there", money wise.. and please make it a place where you can hold gigs, it looks so awesome. good luck, its definately hard to run a studio

As i said, i was simply making comparisons. I really hope you guys can make it more affordable for us student jammers. Maybe if the drinks were free flow or 1 complimentary drink per person per hour might make it more attractive? Haha just a suggestion, the studio looks nice btw!

@Kaye - thanks for the well wishes.

@justheretlook & loldude333 - you can still get to play @ $20 an hour in August 2010. We just had a couple of bands played today - although they find it expensive (before they went to the studio), they left saying that it is well worth it. Hope to see you all soon...btw, you can check the gallery of www.liveamp.com.sg for the pics today.

@loldude333 - yeah certainly hope so - but we hope to get some encouraging response for the studio first. Thanks for the well wishes.

Some of you would have already visited LiveAMP so I would like to thank you. Feedback is very encouraging and we look forward to more jamming sessions with you all. Do visit our website for the latest updates >>> www.liveamp.com.sg

For September, membership is for free. Normally, it would be S$20 per year. Only members get member's rate and discount. Check out the "rate" tab in the website for more details. Many thanks.

hey jbarks - yeah i will be looking at it and make sure bassists won't short changed - i was just wonderin, if the room have 2 4x12 for guitar amps - is it necessary to have a 4x12 for bass as well? is it ok to go for a 4x10 Marshall? if i do, would it be considered good, average or bad? or should i go for SWR or Markbass? let me know. I also want to make it good as I will be using it myself.

i suggest a 1000 watts bass amp with a 4x10 and 1x15 cabs.

^ That's overkill, and not very funny either.

To eggman417, thanks for your prompt and courteous reply, i've sent you guys a message.

all the best guys!good to see the studio market still thriving!will be glad to see more variety of not jus guitar pedals but bass as well=) for rent in your studio

Hello all - LiveAMP's studio #2 is now open for booking. It retains the signature look and feel of LiveAMP's first studio - i.e., warm lights, red carpeted platform for drums, wood laminate flooring and the Auralex sound absorber foams. The gear includes 5 AMPS namely Orange Tiny Terror + 1 by 12 cab, Marshall MG15 MSII, Crate Flexwave 15R, Hartke 2500/2 by 10 cab and 1 FENDER BASSMAN TV 15 inch. It has a Yamaha 5pc Stage Custom drumset and Yamaha digital mixer + a pair of Yamaha MSR250 active speakers! All this for member rate of S$10 for non-peak and S$15 for peak.

Btw, Studio #1 also have 5 amps - 2 Marshall half-stacks, 1 Marshall Bass AMP, 2 VOX combos.
