Metallica sold out albums ago bt come ta think of it they were doin well evn after tht. Then there was St Anger n after tht they didnt do well bcoz they sounded more nu metal n tht was when they sold out according to old timer fans. It just depends. The guys wanted a change in their life. It happens. They'd been doin there stuff for almost 2 decades n then james heads to rehab. In life 1 does what 1 likes. If metallica wants a change, why not? It dont bother em nuts whether they'll lose their "original" fans coz they r getting old. Metallica being labelled as sold-out is now a worldwide hyp so u gotta face it, therez no running away frm it. For all u hardcore metallica fans, just enjoy what u like to listen dont need ta vent.

While we're on the topic of James Hetfiled and Metallica, have anyone seen Some Kind Of Monster? At one point when Hetfiled and the rest of the guys were having a band meeting and laying out their issues, suddenly I really felt sorry for him. I mean there he was sitting there looking worn out, old and defeated, as if he had been sucked out of all the life and energy out of him, as he tells the others he has an "empty feeling" inside of him and how much he doesn't enjoy being with Lars in a room together making music. I felt like giving him a hug and a cookie. Then I suddenly remembered that he is a mutli gazillion lillionare rock icon with a wife and two beautiful kids, who does not have to sell another copy of record in his lfe again and would still be set up for 10 lifetimes. So at that instant, I stopped feeling sorry for him and life went on as usual. :wink:
I love James. As you can see by my sig, I am a James whore on another forum, but use that sig everywhere now 
I have posters and photos and everything of him (no im not gay) but he means so much to me. He made me pick up a guitar and want to learn, he is the one that pulled me from that fake rubbish music called rap and set me where it is.
In a few years,I plan on getting a tattoo becuase he has made such an impact on my life as a teenager. god forbid the day he dies. it will be one of the saddest days of my life.
