Intro - Dongara

Dongara

New member
Hi all, this is Mark here. Sorry for the lateness in introduction.

Lived in Singapore for more than ten years, now relocated back home in Oz. Went under the name 'Mudmechanic' on the forums for the past couple of years.

Did some work for G77, Luthermisic and on my own as a guitar and amp tech. Also worked as a painter (pictures not houses).

Hope I can help you out on advice on amps and gear setup.

cheers,

Dongara.

Hiho Mark. Haven't had a chance to meet you personally, but have seen a few of your works (amps mostly). Cheers mate, good luck to your future endeavours.

hey Mark,

probably dun rem me...u helped me setup couple of guitars when u were still in SG...learnt quite alot frm u then...

gd 2 c u back on the forums :D ....your skin gotten better?

Thanks for the enquiry Stillborn, yes my skin is completely recovered now - don't look pink and flaky anymore. Staying with my folks in Dongara (hence the name) about four hours north of Perth on the coast so the weather is wonderful. Think that's why the skin improved.

Hope your gear is keeping you happy and you don't give in too often to temptation and buy something new. Best thing to do, I feel, is to find whta suits you and get the best from it without worrrying whether anyone else likes it.

Tell me what your gear is and I might be able to work out who you are.

cheers,

Mark.

Thanks Strats. Feel free to ask about anything. Gear here is phenomenally expensive so most people keep what they buy and rarely change. I asked a place I bought gear from about selling a set of pickup and they told me they rarely sell them and if so only the one pickup. How's that?

They're not much into pedals here either.

cheers,

Mark.

Dongara, the couple of guitars were an Epi LP & ibanez RG7621, i've since sold 'em........got a '90s Gibson LP studio & very happy wif the sounds i'm gettin' frm it... :D

btw, my names Mark too....:)

I think I have you now.

Glad to hear you like the Studio. They're a lot better than most people think and very good for the money. I'm still against chnging stuff on guitars (especially pickups!) in most cases and more a believer in tweaking them to get tthe sound that suits you best.

Catch ya later.

Mark.
