I'm [tentatively] interviewing Metallica soon for LIME Magazine!
I'm so stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First the Pussycat Dolls (I enjoyed it more than I thought I would!) now Metallica (better) and MAYBE after that AC/DC (even betterrr!)! That's the ONLY good thing about the job really lol, the rest of it is kind of...well, bleah.

Anyway, this thread is for fellow SOFTies to post what questions they've been itching to ask Metallica! So feel free to post your questions here and I'll be sure to ask them as many as possible!

Try to make it challenging questions, not the typical "What inspired this album" thingy!

THANK YOU!

WOW man thats crazy. can i tag along too plsplspl :(:( haha. are they coming down to singapore or are u meeting them somewhere else? gotta be crazy to be able to meet hetfield hammet ulrich and trujillo. wow, just wow.

please ask them if they have any plans to come to singapore on their next tour!!

oh and ask them what they remember of singapore, if anything at all, considering that theyve been pretty much all over the world!

oh and ask hetfield what was up with the goatee last year!

and ask them if putting pictures of rick rubin all around HQ really insipired them ( i saw the pics on the metclub website!)

and also ask them if theyre gonna play and justice for all (the whoole album) in its entirety, considering its the 20th anniversary... or perhaps remix and remaster
it?

and maybe ask them what they think of the worldwire metal scene as it is now, how its different from what it was 20-30 years ago? and if its still possible for bands to still rise to such an iconic status, and endure such longevity, while still maintaining integrity, given people's shorter attention spans.

most importantly, can i meet them too?

holy sheeeet...
hehhh..
pls ask if they are gonna play here..plsplspls...im dying to see them live.
would the box set be available here too?

before the new album was being recorded...it was reported that Metallica played the whole of Master of Puppets album during their tour...and the new album will be a 'return to roots'...with the same aggression, richness in melody and typically long tracks.

Ask...if Death Magnetic will be sidestepping anything from Load to St Anger?,
and if 'Remember Tomorrow' from Maiden Heaven, is a glimpse of the kinda sound we can expect from Death Magnetic?

thanks heaps

hey this is a question sure to raise eyebrows man

'would you ever tour with fellow thrash metal band megadeth?'
'if jason ever wants to return, will they permit that?'

just thoughts that came to my mind.

Ask Hammett why did he ask whether he could say something that he thinks is bullshit during the making of St Anger.

HOLY SHIT DUDE YOU LUCKY!!!

im a big fanboi of metallica haha, always have been and always will!!

ask them if they consider death magnetic as a return to their sound in the 80's, long complex songs and really crazy riffs and great lyrics!!

oh oh and please ask how much has robert contributed to death magnetic and whether they treat him any different from how they used to haze newstead like crazy.

OH YES, ASK THEM TO COME TO SINGAPORE ILL PAY GOOD SHIT MONEY JUST TO WATCH THEM!!

Ask Hammett and Hetfield what their gear was on this album and if they changed it from their previous albums, why they did so...

And ask them if they would cover more Maiden tunes, because 'Remember Tomorrow' was brilliant...

Also!!!! Last one, i swear...Just tell them, that Whiskey in the jar is one of the best covers they've done... And they need to play that song live more often...

Ask them how much did they earn from St. Anger.

Okay, joking.

Ask them if they would ever come to Singapore in the near near near near future.
