this reminds me of a whiney local EH dealer who complained to mummy EH about other local dealers who are offering discounts to COMPETE with the whiney local EH dealer's MASSIVE discounts... now EH is BANNING all ebay sales.

Yep - I love the finish; it's what attracted me to it, but when i started to play it - WOW; it's very very easy to shred and do legato stuff.damn thats a good song. ^^
People will always support their local dealers if the price is reasonable (need not be dirt cheap). And they're willing to pay a little bit more for the technical support and warranty if the item is big, like Mesa amps. But >200% marked up is just plain daylight robbery! In fact Bentley's outrageous pricing for Mesa can actually buy you a car in Malaysia. Seriously. 
Yep, Bentley's "cry to mummy Mesa" antic is really low. The most disgusting part is they even got the nerve to go after private shoppers and consumers - who are neither dealers or in the music retail at all. Yeah, screw Bentley!

Haha, agree. Maybe it's the scarcity that hyped it up.
IMO, for high gain stuff, tube Marshalls are just as good. Cheaper some more.

If you want a Mesa sounding distortion get a Mesa, u want a Marshall sounding distortion get a Marshall.... it's as simple as that! Just like if you want a Gibson Les Paul sound get a Les Paul and if you want a PRS singlecut sound get a PRS singlecut.... There are no comparisons even though they are both shaped and supposed to sound the same. Big difference between the 2.
No way a Marshall JCM 800 is going to sound like Mesa Dual Rect.... Hype, maybe but once u've tried a Mesa, you'll just go GAS crazy. High gain new age distortion with vintage Marshall sounding distortion. Capable of duplicating almost any distortion sound you can get just maybe British sounding crunch.

Yup! But actually new one not very ex also lah. Buy used one off ebay, but prepared to pay shipping plus additional cost on transformer. If one can spend 5k on a guitar, I think 6k on one MESA not too much,..right? One day must gather all the MESAs here, then BLAST BLAST BLAST till everyone toh! Maybe one side MESA, the other side Marshall. Hows dat my brothers? Haha.. Marchiam geetar hero!!
Haha, I ruffled a few Mesa feathers here. Ok, I take it back....Mesa ain't hype.
Speaking of Mesa, I prefer the lower wattage and slightly lower gain ones (old skool lah). More suitable for home use. If got chance, I certainly like to try out the Express 5:25 combo (new 1x12 version) and the LoneStar.
