instrument destruction

wad do you feel when you see sum expensive instrument being destroyed by an artist in a video

e.g. michelle branch - breathe (a taylor acoustic being thrown into the sea), guns n roses - dont cry (slash slams a gibson les paul on the floor and it bounces back up)

i feel a bit weird, juz wondering how ya'll feel

btw this doesn't include yngwie malmsteen on e g3 2003 dvd(haha), that was a squier, but still...

lol...i think prolly they smack the new guitar,its like the management bought that guitar just to be whacked and destroyed =) dun think that they [the superstars] will do it to their own fav guitar [except cobain],just my 5 cents

even if the rare chance where money juz rains into my pockets infinitely, and i can replace any guitar, i will NEVER do that to a guitar....until something changes my mind, hahaha

Its kinda cool, I mean these guys earn tons of cash, they can afford to bash up guitars for the sake of enhancing a performance. It addes some variety to the show(e.g hendrix lighting up his guitar and pete townshend smashing his telecaster into the amp, etc). Makes the audience wanna go wild too! :lol: artyman:

I feel the pain. It's always shocking. Even though YJM's one of my heroes, when he did it on G3 it shocked me.

It's something i definitely won't do. Every guitar character. Even the cheap supposedly lousy ones.
