Fellow Dim Sum lovers

Where are your favourite Siew Mai places?

Ones I like:

The dim sum place at Lau Pa Sat (can't remember name)- surprisingly firm and flavoursome; I had these for breakfast today on the way to the office.

The restaurant at the Goodwood Hotel (again, forgotten the name) - heavenly Siew Mai.

Mouth restaurant at Chinatown Point.

Tiong Bahru Pau - I go to one at Toa Payoh HDB Hub. Very big Siew Mai, although not so tasty as some others that happen (is it coincidence?) to be smaller.

i second the goodwood park one. ate there many years ago and i can still remember how good the siew mai was!

There's one restaurant near Jalan Besar and Post-Museum which I went for supper last Friday. They do the dinner, supper and early breakfast crowd.

It was decidedly the worst dim sum place I ever ate in...

Oh my gosh! The Red Star restaurant! The one at Chin Swee road.

I only been there once. hehe...but I know somebody who's wedding dinner was held there more than 30 years sgo.

Haven't found one place where the siew mai is very good until I cannot forget. But I remember my best dim sim experience was late nite suppers with family at Pasir Panjang. Food taste better with great company.

Its awesomely tasty and delicious!!
its my favourite side food.:D
yeah, everday during reccess, i used to buy siew mai from the school's canteen.:D

There is one dim sum shop in Geylang, sells really good stuff. I love the century egg porridge. I forgot the name too, haha. Lots of people go there. Reminds you of hong kong when you step in..

i bet 90% of dim sum, siew mai, laksa, etc etc in singapore comes from the same distributor. the only difference is which channel U 'star' has patronized which

i think K F Seetoh should look into this if he hasn't already. if he has it has to be somewhere on the makansutra site

no shinobi, most siew mais in chinese restaurants are hand made before they are steamed...

i know i'm gonna be bashed but im gonna say hong kong dim sum , siew mai in particular, taste better...
